The main character of the game is a man named Jack, who is consumed by his need to extinguish Chaos. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a spin-off and is set in a dark fantasy interpretation of the setting for the first and original Final Fantasy game, and it follows a group of men from another world who are drawn to it. Combat for Stranger of Paradise takes place in real-time, with Jack being able to switch between two assigned jobs, each with their own loaded preset of equipment, such as weapons and armor, as well as to use physical and magical attacks.
